Cilantro & Lime Shrimp Skewers

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

From our skinny table to yours...

Today's meal is super DELICIOUS, super EASY and super LOW in calories!  If that doesn't excite you we don't know what will ;)  We made super yummy shrimp skewers with some of our favorite flavors and get this... ALL 3 ingredients in the marinade are practically calorie free!  What are the key ingredients you ask? Garlic, lime and cilantro :)

These kebabs are so gorgeous!  Serve them up as an appetizer at your next BBQ or have them for dinner over a summer salad!  The marinate on these skewers is so simple.  Simply marinate your shrimp with lime juice, garlic cloves and fresh cilantro.  This marinate takes only 2 minutes to prepare and has certainly become a staple in our homes on those busy nights!  Don't limit this flavor combo to shrimp, as it would taste wonderful on grilled chicken, tilapia, tuna steaks or any lean protein source!

Hope you enjoy these light and refreshing shrimp skewers as much as we do :)
